Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before you jump.
Practical information about tandem skydiving, weather, requirements and AFF training at CEPAC Skydiving Cordoba.
What if I have vertigo?
Many first-time jumpers confuse vertigo with fear of heights. In a tandem skydive you are not standing on a fixed edge: you leave the aircraft attached to an instructor. If you have diagnosed vertigo, balance issues or any medical condition, ask your doctor and tell us before booking.
Can I eat before skydiving?
Yes. A light meal and good hydration are recommended. Avoid very heavy food, excess caffeine and alcohol before the jump. If you have a medical condition, take medication or need a specific eating routine, check with a professional and tell the team in advance.
Is the jump cancelled if it rains?
If conditions are not safe, the activity is rescheduled. The decision depends on rain, wind, visibility, cloud base, runway conditions and aircraft operations. The goal is to jump with a safety margin, so the team confirms the activity based on the actual weather that day.
Can I breathe during freefall?
Yes. You can breathe normally during freefall. The wind sensation is strong, but your instructor gives you body-position instructions and stays with you throughout the jump. Tandem freefall at CEPAC lasts about 27 to 40 seconds depending on the selected altitude.
What are the tandem skydive requirements?
For a tandem skydive, the maximum weight is 95 kg, height must be under 2 m, and you need ID or passport. Minimum age is 16, with the required authorization for minors. Comfortable clothing and a USB drive with at least 2 GB are recommended.
Do I need previous experience for tandem skydiving?
No. Tandem skydiving is designed for beginners: you receive a short briefing, you are attached to a certified instructor and the instructor manages the technical parts of the jump. Your job is to follow simple instructions and enjoy the experience.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing and secure sneakers. Avoid sandals, flip-flops, heavy boots, loose accessories or anything that may interfere with the harness. On cooler days, dress in layers so you stay comfortable during the wait and the aircraft climb.
Can I jump with glasses or contact lenses?
In most cases you can jump with contact lenses or glasses using suitable goggles. Tell the team before the jump so they can choose the right fit and help prevent discomfort during the aircraft climb, freefall and parachute flight.
What is the difference between tandem and AFF?
Tandem is the simplest way to experience a first freefall while attached to an instructor. AFF is training to become a student skydiver: it includes theory, a jump progression, equipment, radio helmet support and instructor supervision.
How long does the AFF course take?
The AFF course is personalized, and its duration depends on student availability, technical progression and weather. At CEPAC it includes more than 20 jumps, study material, a jump logbook and equipment: altimeter, jumpsuit, goggles, radio helmet and parachute.
